Tonight was magical. I just met someone 6 hours ago who has left a great impact on me.
"Every one can be the same but what makes you different from the others is God's anointing. That's what make you special." she said to me while I was telling her about my dilemmas in choosing the path I want to take for my education. And she continued, "Deep down you already know what you want to do but you just want people's opinion. Well, don't listen to what they say because in the end of the day, it is you who will be going through it. I think nothing is easy. Fashion is not easy. Medicine is not easy either. But doing something you like gives you the drive to do it well."
I couldn't believe it. After all the long hours of talk with my parents and the discussions with my friends... With just a simple 20 minutes drive to Tropicana in the backseat of the car, sitting beside someone who I just knew not even an hour yet, could somehow and might change my future.
"Whenever you have to design something from scratch and you need inspiration and creativity.. you just have to pray to God for that he will give you those important things. Just gotta keep on praying to Him and you'll find a way." she said to me with confidence and faith.
Tonight was a life changing experience. God has answered my prayer and it's all good. Hallelujah :))

True Meaning Of CNY
I've been feeling so nostalgic these few days. It must be the cause of Chinese New Year lol. Anyway, 2011 is truly a real beginning for me. I've got no more excuses to NOT help out cleaning the house. hahah! No school, no college and no work. My friends tell me that I'm living the easy life with nothing to worry about while they are already in college. They have to rush their assignments while I just sit around the house and sleep all day.
But friends, let me tell you..it's not as easy as you think! I figure, on an average day my brain will process 5 things at the same time. Which college should I go? What should I study? Would I want to go overseas to future my studies? Will my job secure me a good career in the future? Will I be financially stable to provide for my parents next time?
Of course every child would want to give what's best to their parents. We have to learn how to be sacrificial and to honour our parents in every single way. At the end of the day, they're the one who sacrificed their everything just to teach us the value of life - appreciate life like a gem. My parents always taught me how to be humble and thankful for what we have. If living in a middle class family can bring us happiness and health then I wouldn't mind living it for the rest of my life. "Blood is thicker than water" that's what my dad used to say. They're the ones who I run to when I'm facing any problems or I just need a listening ear.
I guess I'm really a homey person. Or you can say a papa and mama kinda girl. hahaha. Well friends, sometimes we can instantly be frustrated at our parents and thinking that they don't understand us at all! But hey, they were once our age and went through what we are going through now. Don't you think that you ought to give a thought about what they are about to say before you cut them off? :)
This Chinese New Year is another season of giving and honouring our parents. Ang paos and cny cookies are just side dishes. It is truly the time to reunite the bond with your parents, your siblings, your cousins and your relatives. It's never too late to turn a new leaf as long as you have the heart to do it! :))
Happy Chinese New Year & Gong Xi Fa Cai!!
