Monday Stress

Quick summary of how my Monday went :

  1. Drove to Dr. Koh's clinic with Ashlee
  2. Got lost on the way there
  3. Smoke came out from the car bonnet
  4. Stranded in front of SMK BU3 (somewhere near 1U)
  5. Called Dad and told him about it
  6. Called AAM but it was useless so Dad called a workshop toll truck
  7. Called Ethan and Nicholas for rescue
  8. They came and waited with me and Ash for the toll truck
  9. After 45 mins the toll truck finally came
  10. After 2 hours of stress and standing under the hot sun, I got to go back already. Yay!
HUGE lorry coming through! I was on the phone with Dad.

Quite an exciting and adventurous day indeed. Thank God for protection and journey mercy despite all the happenings! Turns out that there was a leakage in the water pipe that's why the car ran outta water and that explains the smoke and burnt rubber smell :(

What's Your Conviction?

I woke at 9.15am today and the first thing that came to my mind was "go to Glad Tidings PJ". It was a very random thing that God has put into my mind but heck, I went to bath and went there straight.

11am came and I was already seated right in the center of the HUGE hall. Middle row, horizontally and vertically. I sat alone again. As the service went on, I noticed how different GT was. The crowd were older, the lights for P&W are on, even the singers on stage are in coats! Very new, very different indeed than what I usually see in CHCKL.

Pastor Vincent preached about "Thriving in Babylon" in the book of Daniel. Babylon can be our study place, our work place, our church and so on. Definition of thrive is to progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances. Instead of surviving through the difficult times, we must thrive through it.

But what really caught my attention was when Pastor Vincent spoke about Conviction. When we know our conviction we will not be easily defeated. Like how Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were true to their conviction and God delivered them. However, we musn't condemn others for their lifestyle and beliefs when we make a stand for ourselves.

Wow..what an empowering message today. Always stay true to your conviction and God will deliver you from it :))

Have a good day tomorrow! xx
